Exempt Dog Breeds

An owner of a banned breed dog must comply with legal regulations set by the UK Government and the liability restrictions of insurance companies.

In addition to our standard terms and conditions applicable to Exempt Dogs

  • The dog must have an "Index of Exempt Dogs" registration and current liability insurance

  • A copy of the Exemption Certificate and the current Public Liability Insurance is required before attending the first booking. Emailed the copies to fun4alldogtraining@googlemail.com or via WhatsApp

  • The dog is neutered

  • The exempt dog can have the lead and muzzle removed once inside the field and the gate padlock

  • However, Exempt dogs must always remain on a lead, wear a muzzle, and stay 1:1 with their handler whenever they encounter anyone from outside their household.

When using the Main Car Park:

  • The dog must be kept on a lead and muzzled until inside the main secure field

  • All gates must be shut and at least one gate padlocked before the lead and muzzle are removed

  • When leaving the security of the field, the dog must be wearing its muzzle and on a lead before unpadlocking the gate

When using the Secure Car Parking Area:

  • It is a legal requirement that exempt dogs must travel muzzled and secured in the vehicle

  • Keep the dog inside the car until the main entrance gate is shut and re-padlocked

  • When leaving, secure the dog in the car before unlocking and opening the main entrance gate

Important

  • Failure to comply with the full terms and conditions or supply further information for supporting evidence, when requested to do so, will result in all appointments being cancelled and future bookings being declined until compliance is met

  • The person booking an appointment for an Exempt dog to use the facilities at Gilbert's Gallops will be personally liable for the information provided on the booking form as being correct, and the conditions will be adhered to

  • Should the handler of an Exempt dog fail to comply with the T&Cs  when attending an appointment, they will be personally liable for any damages, personal losses or injury claims caused by the dog's behaviour

  • Fun 4 All Dog Club Gilbert's Gallop will not accept liability for any claims when the terms and conditions have not been adhered to or complied with at the time of booking or during the use of Gilbert's Gallop facilities
